We do not want to brag but we understand high school seniors and their graduation wishes. Take a look at some information we've gathered about school districts and individual high schools with in those districts. We hope to impress you each and every moment.

Metro Phoenix School District

The Metro Phoenix area is supported by 325 public schools in 30 school districts and more than 200 charter and private schools. The Phoenix Union High School District operates most of the public high schools in Phoenix. With over 25,000 students attending, this district boasts only a 2.5% drop out rate and a 78.5% 4 year graduation rate. The Phoenix Districts mission is “preparing every student for success in college, career, and life.

Avondale School Districts

Avondale school district is a fast-growing kindergarten thru 8th grade district serving students of Avondale and Goodyear. These two communities are located in the west valley with approximately 6,350 students. They support learning by providing a challenging academic curriculum. They offer summer sessions, gifted clustered classrooms, counselors on every campus, athletics, band programs, and partnerships with ASU to provide distance learning.

Litchfield School District

The first school was built in 1917 and the newest school opened in August of 2010. Litchfield School Districts services over 10,000 students with 14 schools. This district is comprised of 9 elementary (K thru 5th grade), 4 middle schools (6th thru 8th grade), and one alternative school (K thru 8th grade). The mission of the Litchfield School District is a “Stronger Mind for a Stronger Future”.

Phoenix, Surprise AZ High Schools (Working on Forever Growing List!)

    • Paradise Honors High School is a charter high school located in the Surprise School District. This high schools serves 9th thru 12th graders with a student number under 100. The student to teacher ratio is 12:1. Paradise Honors is the ONLY “Excelling” high school in Surprise, AZ. They seek excellence in education; all students are required 4 years of English, math, science, and social studies, and two successful years of foreign language. Paradise Honors is there to prepare students to fulfill their greatest academic potential with the focus on college, technical training, or other post secondary opportunities.
    • Willow Canyon is located in Surprise, Arizona and is part of the Dysart School District. Students enrolled in grades 9-12 totals over 2300. Willow Canyon High School is rated as a Highly Performing school. The district believes in a positive learning environment, a curriculum that is taught and mastered, and in differentiated instructional strategies for all students. They provide AP classes for students, AIMs tutoring, honors programs, international baccalaureate programs, and school social services.
    • Valley Vista High School opened its doors in 2006 and is part of the Dysart School District in Surprise, AZ and is rated as a “Highly Performing” school from the Arizona Department of Education. They are home to approximately 2400 students in grades 9 thru 12. They offer students, honors courses, advanced placement, Career and Technical Education, and dual-enrolment courses. Valley Vista believes, working for college, for working, for life. In 2009, the Valley Vista Performing Arts Center was completed and is the largest o its kind in the Dysart Unified School District.
    • Imagine Preparatory High School in Surprise, AZ is a free charter school preparing students for college, career, and life. Students in grades 7th thru 12th grade make up approximately 330 students enrolled. They emphasize professionalism, student learning, and real world applications. Students complete their work in four core areas; language arts, science, mathematics, and social studies. Imagine also offers dual enrollment allowing for the student to earn both high school and college course credit while in high school. They offer athletics as well as many club opportunities for students to be involved.
    • Agua Fria High School serves a student body of over 1,700 student’s grades 9th thru 12th. Originally founded in 1928 as Litchfield Park high school, it moved to Avondale in 1956 and became Agua Fria. It is rated as a Highly Performing school by the Arizona Department of Education. It offers full academic, fine arts, and athletic programs. Agua Fria also has a Career and Technical Education program which includes career discovery, allied health services, computer technology, law and public safety, construction, and an Air Force Junior ROTC program.
    • Tolleson Union High School is located in Tolleson, AZ and is part of the Tolleson Union School District. It was established in 1927 and serves over 2200 students in grades 9 thru 12. Tolleson Union High School has been rated a Highly Performing school by the Arizona Department of Education. They are committed to improving district assessments and the state AIMS exam. They offer Career and Technical Education to prepare students for a wide range of careers, a wide variety of clubs, and many options for the student athlete.
    • La Joya Community High School is located in Avondale, AZ and is home to over 1800 students grades 9 to 12. They are a Highly Performing School and pride themselves with an excellent academic experience. La Joya offers many programs to their students, including, Career and Technical Education to prepare their students for the work environment after high school, athletics, National Honor Society, guidance and career counseling, and special services to guide students to develop emotionally, intellectually, and vocationally.
    • Estrella High School is a free public charter school location in Avondale, AZ. It is managed by the Leona Group and accredited by the North Central Association. They emphasize core academics with a focus on business. Along with general high school requirements, students can take courses in Fine Arts, Business, and Humanities. Estrella believes in and embraces the full inclusion for special education which to them is the best way students can be educated. At Estrella, they offer various athletic programs and clubs to offer their students a well rounded educational experience.
    • PPec Tec began in May 1995 by the Arizona State Board for Charter Schools as a public school whose focus was to provide alternative education programs to students ages 15 to 21. They provide the services to meet the needs of all students enrolled providing both direct instruction and self paced curriculum. Career and Technology courses are available to prepare students for the workforce or to enroll in post secondary schooling after graduation. Students are able to choose between morning or evening class sessions. PPec Tec offers families the alternative to traditional education.
    • Millennium High School is one of four high schools in the Agua Fria Union High School District. Opening in 1999, it is home to over 2200 students. In 2010, over 86% of the graduating class were accepted to colleges and universities. They are proud to be an “Excelling” school by the Arizona Department of Education. They offer students exceptional curriculum and many opportunities to participate in athletics and extra-curricular activities. Students are offered International Baccalaureate programs, career center, programs for gifted and talented, and career preparation, and student government.
    • Desert Edge is located in Goodyear, AZ. The school is made up of students in grades 9 thru 12 with approximately 1500 students enrolled. It received LEED Silver certification, making it Arizona’s first LEED certified school and the fourth in the United States. LEED is a green building certification program which shows that the school construction was environmentally friendly. Because of this the school can run efficiently while taking care of the environment. Solar panels will save the district money. Desert Edge offers students academic challenges, athletic program opportunities, and many clubs for each student.
    • West Phoenix High School is a public charter school and is part of the Leona Group. They are accredited by the North Central Association and chartered by the Arizona State Board for charter schools. Their curriculum has been evaluated and approved by the Arizona State University to meet university entrance requirements. They are partnered with local community colleges to offer students the ability to have concurrent courses in order to earn college credits while in high school. Students are also offered block scheduling which allows them flexibility to get ahead for accelerated graduation. They can offer individualized instruction, small class sizes, four day school week, extracurricular clubs and sports, and ELL opportunities for their students.
    • Intelli-School is a charter high school which offers a new, non-traditional learning environment which is completely computer driven and completely self paced. They opened their doors in 1995 and have been in operation for over a decade. They offer three different session options for their students. They provide a unique learning experience for special education, at-risk youth, and those learning disabled. Their focus is on the student as a whole. This is a tuition free school which offers four hour school days and a self paced environment.
    • Metropolitan Arts Institute founded in 1988 is a tuition free charter arts school for grades 7 thru 12. They believe in the artistic, emotional, and moral growth of a student as well as their academic growth. Their purpose is to help their students to set and meet their goals, master techniques, and develop self discipline and the skills necessary to grow. They offer both academic programs as well as programs for performing arts, visual arts, and literary arts.
    • RCB Medical Arts High School is a public charter school chartered by the Arizona State Board of Charter Schools. Students grades 7th thru 12 learn in a small environment with highly qualified teachers who educate meeting the Arizona State Standards while preparing their students for employment in allied health careers; their emphasis being in pharmacy. They also can help students earn credits faster so they are able to catch up for time lost or graduate earlier. RCB focuses on medical careers offering courses in medical terminology, medical mathematics, pharmacy, occupational health systems, and CNA.
    • Superior High School is located in Superior, AZ and is home to approximately 160 students in grades 9 thru 12. Approximately 75% of the student population is Hispanic. The average class size is 16. This is a small community focused on education and preparation for the future. The principal of Superior High School, Pete Guzman, is also the superintendent.
    • Arizona Charter Academy serves the northwest valley cities in Arizona. It is a tuition-free alternative to public schools. It serves students in kindergarten thru grade 12. Their curriculum centers on reading, writing, mathematics, critical thinking, and technology use. They host a 24:1 student teacher ratio. Arizona Charter Academy is partnered with Grand Canyon University for on-line and campus college classes provides in school for dual credit.
